So, it’s been quite some time since I last posted here. That’s because it’s been some time since I’ve drawn anything. Honestly, I had no drive to do anything art-related in a while. I finally mustered up some courage to draw something. SOMETHING. I added another character to this cartoon character collage thing I started a while back. I’m not exactly sure where this is going, but I like it.

I promised Monty that I’d draw something, no matter how shitty. I have a long way to go.
Anonymous asked: how long have you been designing? when did you know you want to become a Graphic designer?
polobanditgraphics replied:

About 4 years now. I started doing graphic design my junior year of high school. I took a graphic design class and pretty much fell in love with it. I downloaded Photoshop 7 (this is how you know it’s been a while) and started playing around with it. I pretty much learned everything I know based off of Trial and Error. By the middle of my senior year, I started up my own little side business designing Myspace layouts, business cards, event fliers, etc. I loved what I was doing and decided that this was what I wanted to pursue. I majored in Graphic Design my first few years of college, only to find that the program my school offered was basically below me. That’s not meant to be cocky in any way, shape, or form. It literally was beginner level. I was already producing product and reeling in regular clients and my classes were stuck on making layers in PS CS3. I wanted to grow. I felt at that school, I was waiting around for them. I wasn’t going to waste my money any longer.

I left that school, still with the intent on becoming a better artist. Although I’m no longer a Graphic Design major, I want to better my craft, as well as excel in other things.

So this is what I’m currently working on. I haven’t been drawing like I said I was going to be doing so here we go. Actually, I’ve never drawn a nude figure in my life so ignore my beginnerness-ness.

Boredom struck again.
This was for a project in my sophomore year of college. I hated this project with my life because I picked a cat. A cat yawning at that.
I got lazy soon into it. Definitely not the best at this.
